BROLLO SOLAR: the integrated photovoltaic
roofing system that guarantees the best cost/revenue
ratio
Brollo Solar is the integrated solution developed by
Marcegaglia
for enterprises aiming to invest in the power generation
business from photovoltaic technology.
First quality materials for a certified product and
a power
plant with guaranteed revenues throughout the years:
Marcegaglia, worldwide leader in the steel transformation
industry with 5 million tons processed every year, is
the ideal
partner for the planning of an investment in the energy
sector that can generate maximum fi nancial returns.
The product
Marcegaglia’s photovoltaic panel is a large engineering product
that
embodies the innovative features of Marcegaglia insulating panels and
metal plates and Uni-Solar® thin-film photovoltaic
cells.
Brollo Solar allows cutting production costs while
yielding more energy during the course of the year,
thanks to a more effi cient exploitation of direct
and diffused light, and a better performance at high
temperatures.
It is especially suitable for industrial roofs, including those with
low pitches, such as sheds, shopping centres and sports facilities.
As a fully integrated solar roofing system, Brollo
Solar is entitled
to the highest level of some state incentives.

Advantages
Advantages
• Fully integrated roofi ng system
• Better performance, up to +20% compared to Si-c,
due to:
- higher sensitivity to diffuse radiation
- better tolerance to shadow and single cell faults (bypass diodes)
- lower sensitivity to high temperatures, at 70°C output reduction 9% compared
to 23% of Si-c modules
• Flexibility during design and construction (pitch, length)
• Resistance to weather condition
• Easier maintenance thanks to the possibility to tread
on the roof surface
• Lower weight/sqm compared to traditional
photovoltaic systems
• Easy installation, with lower related costs
• 20-years guarantee, over 30 years in operation
• Competitive rates for kWh of generated power
