MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE (MSW)

After selection, separation and recycling of municipal solid waste, compost and RDF can be produced.
RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) is a high heating value fuel suitable to produce power.
With this path, the urban waste recycling is closed with high efficiency and respecting the environment.
The advantages for environment and quality life: a high reduction of pollutants and of waste disposed in landfill.

CO.GE.AM. (Consorzio Stabile Gestioni Ambientali, in compartecipazione con CISA) is going to install and operate six MSW treatment plants planned in the frame of the MSW Apulia region plan.
With biostabilization, selection and RDF production lines CO.GE.AM. is one of the leaders in the Italian South in the production of non-fossil fuel sources.

BIOMASS

Fuelco Uno is the company dedicated to biomass supply and
processing. The final product is high quality wood chips in
conformity to power production specifications.

Fuelco Uno facilities are in operation in Cutro (Crotone).

Non-contaminated biomass comes from the forest management and sawmill industry. Overall, less than the annual growing is taken from the forest. Also, the creation of a market of forest maintenance material has positive effects on such activity.
This means forest and environment saving.

INDUSTRIAL WASTE

In Augusta (Siracusa), Oikothen, a joint venture with Hera Group, has planned a plant to manage industrial wastes produced by the industrial area of Eastern Sicily.
The project is a multi-functional plant for energy and material disposal, with an environment-friendly management of industrial wastes.
