BIOMASS

Fuelco Uno is the company dedicated to biomass supply and
processing. The final product is high quality wood chips in
conformity to power production specifications.

Fuelco Uno facilities are in operation in Cutro (Crotone).

Non-contaminated biomass comes from the forest management and sawmill industry. Overall, less than the annual growing is taken from the forest. Also, the creation of a market of forest maintenance material has positive effects on such activity.
This means forest and environment saving.

In Augusta (Siracusa), Oikothen, a joint venture with Hera Group, has planned a plant to manage industrial wastes produced by the industrial area of Eastern Sicily.
The project is a multi-functional plant for energy and material disposal, with an environment-friendly management of industrial wastes.
