ELBRIDGE Converter
IGBT (Insulated gate bipolar transistor) converter,
with PWM
General description:
D.C. motor converter ELBRIDGE realizes the double conversion
AC to DC and DC to DC. Thanks to the method of ñPWMî
which modulates the DC energy stored in the capacitor bank
(DC-BUS), very high performance can be achieved in terms of
dynamics and efficiency.
The advantages of "PWM" technology can be summarized
as follows:
- extremely quick dynamic response
- the braking energy recovered and stored into the DC_BUS
can be used to feed other drives which share the same DC_BUS
feeding with dissipative unit NO NEED and with efficiency
increasing.
- Quasi-unitary power factor in any operating condition.
