District heating pipes: the carbon steel tube range
Carbon steel tubing are at the core of Marcegaglia processing activities: the Italy-based group has developed the world's widest range in terms of dimensions and steel grades compliant with several applications sectors. Among the production range, which is fully manufactured within its controlled production chain, Marcegaglia developed a dedicated range of round pipes for pressure purposes including applications for the heat exchanger industry, heating and ventilation, gas and water line pipes, district heating and chemical industry among others.
In particular, the production for the district heating sector consist of:
• tubes for energy distribution
• tubes for heat supply networks
• tubes for special elbows and fittings
• boiler tubes
The range includes tubes from 33,7 mm OD up to 460 mm OD manufactured according to EN 10217-1 (for use room temperatures) and EN 10217-2 (for use at high temperatures) and heat treated upon request.
