Marcegaglia has settled in Ravenna
its by far biggest steel metallurgy
plant as well as the nerve-center for
integrated logistics to supply each production
and distribution facility of the industrial group.
The new mill and the vanguard manufacturing lines
are the result of a strong corporate investment
strategy that has always sustained increase of
volumes, product range improvement, quality of
raw material and finished products, flexible production
planning combined with logistics and distribution,
and on time products’ delivery to customers.
Besides Ravenna’s, that
is furthermore Europe’s biggest service
center, flat steel products are manufactured also
by the plants of Gazoldo degli Ippoliti
(Mantova), Corsico (Milano),
Albignasego (Padova) and San
Giorgio di Nogaro (Udine): on the whole
700 thousand square meters, out of which 420
covered areas, dedicated to flat steel
products processing and storage.
