Steel Plates
The Marcegaglia Ravenna facility hosts Europe's
largest steel service center: here, from
steel coils, sheets and narrow strips are cut
to length, finished and packed for delivery.
The center, with a yearly output of 1 million
tons, is equipped with 4 flattening machines and
9 slitters capable of working up to a length of
2000 mm and a thickness from 0.25 to 15 mm.
The distribution of black, pickled, bright, galvanized,
striped and buckle steel plates is co-ordinated
by the sheets division.
Marcegaglia heavy plates division
is dedicated to the trade of hot rolled plates,
manufactured in the plant located in Giorgio di
Nogaro (Udine). The production capacity allows
thicknesses from 10 up to 180 mm, and a maximum
length of 2700 mm.
