Marcegaglia Carbon Steel Tube Division announces the introduction of a new price list for welded tubes, which will take effect for all sales starting Monday, 28 September 2026.

The new price list represents a significant change in the structure and determination of the sales price of welded tubes and reflects the developments that have taken place in the European steel market over recent months.

The main innovation is the introduction of the concept of a base price, which will serve as the reference value to be negotiated through the application of a commercial discount. A system of extras will then be added to this price, aimed at reflecting the product’s quality characteristics, the specific features of the production process and the related turnover levels.

The introduction of this new model stems from the need to bring the pricing logic for welded tubes closer to the approach already adopted in the flat products sector, based on the concept of a base price, while at the same time maintaining the flexibility required to reflect the complexity and variety of the welded tubes market through a structured system of extras.

This new approach will provide greater transparency in price formation, better recognition of product-specific characteristics and more effective alignment with market dynamics.

Additionally, freight costs have been revised to reflect the gradual increase in logistics costs resulting from higher fuel prices and other ancillary transport-related expenses.
