Three days of meetings, projects and shared visions. Cromatica Marcegaglia’s participation in B-CAD Expo 2026 concluded by reaffirming the value of a journey dedicated to exploring the potential of customized metal for architecture, design and the world of project development.

From September 4 to 6, the Cromatica Marcegaglia space welcomed architects, designers, students, professionals and industry operators, offering a multifaceted narrative combining real-world applications, design research and technical insights.

At the stand, visitors had the opportunity to discover first-hand how Cromatica Marcegaglia technology can transform steel, aluminium and other metals into customized, workable and high-performance surfaces. The applications presented together with partners KalaMitica, Nieder, B&Home and Axia demonstrated the versatility of the technology across a wide range of fields: from interior design to magnetic surfaces, from metal roofing to cladding and architectural components.

Particular attention was also devoted to the B-Palace Art project, promoted in collaboration with Sandrini Metalli, which showcased the talent of young designers through an exhibition of the most outstanding entries in the competition. Some of the participants also had the opportunity to present their work during the talks, engaging with professionals, companies and leading figures in the industry. The exhibition brought these visions into dialogue with a selection of architectural projects completed or currently under development using Cromatica Marcegaglia, highlighting the role of metal as both an expressive surface and a design tool.

The meetings provided a further opportunity for discussion and in-depth exploration, involving architects, designers, lecturers, professionals and the Cromatica Marcegaglia team. They offered a chance to explore the technical and aesthetic potential of the technology, share experiences and open up new perspectives on the future of metal surfaces in contemporary design.

The success of the initiative confirms the growing interest in a new culture of metal: no longer simply a technical material, but a surface capable of creating identity, language and architectural value.
