Marcegaglia Carbon Steel tube division has issued an update to the current price lists for welded carbon steel tubes manufactured from black, pickled, bright, and galvanized strips.

The new price lists will take effect on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The revision is driven by two main factors: logistics and the price of galvanized tube.

On the logistics side, the new conditions reflect the rising costs of transportation, linked both to higher expenses for personnel, fuel, and tolls, as well as to regulatory restrictions introduced across various European countries.
A minimum order quantity (MOQ) of two bundles has also been established for all welded tubes produced in 6-meter lengths. Purchasing a single bundle will still be possible, but it will carry a surcharge of €20 per ton.
An additional charge, to be defined on a case-by-case basis, will also apply to deliveries subject to specific non-standard requirements, such as particular timing or logistical constraints.

With regard to galvanized tube, the adjustment has become necessary due to the combined impact of two factors: on the one hand, the effect of the revision of EU Safeguard measures, which came into force on April 1, 2025, and led to a sharp reduction in galvanized coil imports; on the other hand, the strengthening of domestic demand. Together, these elements have significantly influenced galvanized coil price dynamics in Europe, widening the spread between black coil and galvanized coil, and making it essential to update the galvanized tube price lists accordingly.
