Emma Marcegaglia at the Trento Festival of Economics
Europe was the undisputed and compelling protagonist of the debate held this morning at the Palazzo della Regione Trentino Alto Adige/Südtirol during the fourth day of the Trento Festival of Economics, organized by Il Sole 24 Ore and Trentino Marketing on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Emma Marcegaglia and Enrico Letta discussed the topic with journalist Maria Latella.
Wars; the closure of the Strait of Hormuz; energy; the United States and China. And Europe, which must decide what role it wants to play. Transforming itself from a “regulatory authority” into a political actor, as well as an economic, industrial and technological driver. Acting quickly, united and with greater strategic autonomy – but without closing itself off.
Because a strong Europe is not an isolated Europe: it is a Europe capable of innovating, attracting talent, creating connections, and protecting its manufacturing sector and its founding values.
