Marcegaglia joins the United Nations Global Compact
Born in 2000 for the will of the then UN president, Kofi Annan, the organization now has over 20,000 members, 3,800 non-governmental bodies, is present in more than 160 countries and involves 138 million employees. Through an approach based on the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the promotion of Ten Principles – about human rights, quality work standards, environmental protection and fight against corruption – it is proposed as a point of reference for companies who want to adopt sustainable policies, in line with corporate social responsibility, and make the results of the actions taken public. The Italian network is made up of over 500 companies: from today we are here too!
