25 November 2025

Four days of conversations, ideas and inspiring perspectives. Surface Stories, the exhibition-event hosted in the Marcegaglia space at MADE Expo 2025, has wrapped up, leaving a lasting impression on the evolving conversation around steel as a design language.

From November 19 to 22, architects, designers, students and professionals from the printed-steel sector filled the program with more than thirty talks, turning the Marcegaglia booth into a lively, engaging hub of discussion.
Led by Andrea Castrignano, whose energy, vision and storytelling brought each session to life, the talks explored steel as an expressive surface—a material able not only to meet technical demands, but also to shape identity, form and meaning.

A growing community around the Surface Stories vision

The strong response to the initiative confirms the value of a narrative that brings together industry, architecture and design. The high level of participation – both in person and through online streams – shows a growing interest in a new way of thinking about steel: not simply as a construction material, but as a key element in the aesthetics and sustainability of contemporary design.

Looking ahead

For those who couldn’t attend, or for anyone who wants to revisit the highlights, we will soon be sharing content, insights and updates on what’s next for Surface Stories.
