From November 19 to 22, 2025, Marcegaglia will take center stage at MADE Expo – Fiera Milano (Hall 4, Stand B01 C10) with Surface Stories, an exhibition and a series of talks and workshops dedicated to the new narratives of steel and its role in contemporary architectural design.

The initiative stems from the desire to explore the value of the material not only as a structural component, but as a narrative surface, capable of expressing identity, language and innovation.

An exhibition between architecture, industry and design

Within the stand, Surface Stories presents a curated exhibition pathway showcasing projects and realizations developed using Cromatica – Marcegaglia technology, the digital printing solution on steel that enables complete freedom in customizing textures, patterns and colors.

Alongside real-world applications – such as the Duomo di Milano enclosure and the Hotel Cristallo in Mantua – the exhibition also features the design boards from the B-Palace Art competition, promoted by Cromatica – Marcegaglia in collaboration with Sandrini Metalli, which invites young designers to reinterpret the “secondary façades” of buildings as spaces of aesthetic and cultural value.

Talks and workshops: material as language

Throughout the four days of the fair, Surface Stories will host a rich program of talks and workshops with architects, designers and industry professionals, focused on themes such as material innovation, sustainability and the new aesthetics of industry.
An opportunity for dialogue between research, design and technology, showing how steel can become an expressive tool in contemporary construction.

The process for the recognition of professional development credits for architects and surveyors is currently underway.
