Hot galvanized strips and coils
are obtained using a continuous process, called Sendzimir.
Here, the strips are brought up to
a temperature suitable for galvanizing, submerged in
the zinc pot and then passed through a blowing system
to eliminate any excess of zinc.
As a last stage the strips may be
subjected to Skinpassing with sand
coated or bright cylinders and possibly passivated.
All our strips with a nominal thickness
of less than 1.5 mm are obtained from cold rolled strips,
while the thicker ones are obtained from hot rolled
strips.
They are divided into two main categories:
• for profiling and/or pressing
use according to Standard EN 10142, tolerance according
to Standard EN 10143
• for standard use according to Standard EN 10147,
tolerance according to Standard EN 10143
