The Carbon Steel Tube Division of the Marcegaglia has issued a new price list for welded carbon steel pipes from hot rolled black, pickled and galvanized strip which will become effective from May 2nd, 2013. The new list is already available on our website www.marcegaglia.com.
Taking into account the difficult market environment, the new tool is recovering the right differential between the cost of the raw material and the finished tube.
The new list has also the goal to improve transparency and clarity of the prices.
In fact, structural changes were implemented without the logic of the categories and with the integration in a single document with one discount for welded carbon steel pipes from hot rolled black, pickled and galvanized strip.

Non più categorie ma sconti. Marcegaglia aggiornerà da lunedì i propri listini sui tubi a caldo e lo farà in maniera «rivoluzionaria» eliminando di fatto la precedente divisione in categorie.
La divisione tubi della Marcegaglia SpA ha elaborato un nuovo listino dedicato ai tubi saldati da nastri laminati a caldo neri, decapati e zincati che entrerà in vigore a partire dal 2 maggio2013
«Tenendo conto dell'attuale congiuntura dei mercati – spiega il direttore commerciale della divisione Rino Pinotti - , il nuovo strumento si adegua, recuperando il differenziale che si era venuto a creare tra il costo della materia prima e quello del tubo finito.
Il nuovo listino ha inoltre recepito le richieste di maggior trasparenza e chiarezza espositiva dei livelli tariffari. Infatti sono stati recepiti cambiamenti strutturali, che prevedono la scomparsa della logica delle categorie, con l'integrazione di un unico documento del tubi saldati da nastri laminati a caldo neri, decapati e zincati».

Marcegaglia and Maber join forces
Two Italy-based firms, Marcegaglia and Maber have entered into an agreement to develop and distribute a range of transport platforms for personnel and materials with a load capacity of up to 2,000 kg.
Marcegaglia is a global group specialised in steel processing but with a key presence in the building sector. Maber manufactures and supplies lifting systems for civil and industrial building sites.
The new range will be marketed under the combined trademark 'Marcegaglia – manufactured by Maber'. This will allow Marcegaglia to complete its range of construction equipment, which already includes scaffolding systems, temporary structures, shoring systems, provisional site fencing and building hoists. The agreement will also enable Maber to position itself alongside a global partner in the sector for the distribution of its products.
Both companies will be exhibiting together at Bauma 2013 in Munich, Germany this week.

The world's widest production range in terms of width and variety both carbon and stainless steel comes to the Turkish market within the leading exhibition dedicated to Tube&Pipe sector: BORU 2013 (Istanbul Expo Center – March 28-30). Here, Marcegaglia will exhibit its complete range of carbon steel welded tubes, manufactured over 150 processing lines and with a global capacity in excess of 3 million tons per year.
The production covers a number of structural and precision mechanical applications, guaranteeing specific suitability for subsequent processing. Typical applications include: steel structural work, piling, district heating, lifting equipment, roller conveyors, drawing, automotive applications, cycle and motorcycle industry, heating and plumbing systems, fitness equipment, furniture industry, and other industrial applications.
Recently the group has further widened its range with a brand new certified welded tubes production for structural and pressure applications with OD up to 406.4 mm strengthening its positioning on the market as the leading global steel player. Tube production has several certifications including CE marking and AD2000 for applications such as structures, pressure purpose, naval construction, automotive industry. The very latest addition is the ISO/TS 29001 quality system certification for the oil&gas sector. In addition to chemical and mechanical tests on materials, the mills are equipped with state-of-the-art technology of in-line controls throughout the manufacturing process.

For the second consecutive year, Marcegaglia USA has exhibited at FencheTech; the American Fence Association's annual trade show dedicated to fencing (held this year in Houston). The exhibition has gathered once again the industry's leading manufacturers, distributors, contractors and specifiers to showcase the latest products and services in the industry attracting more than 4500 visiting participants.
The US division of the Italy-based group has presented its new range of galvanized tubing for fence framework applications including: commercial and industrial fencing, security fence framework, residential and square tubing fencing.
 On the final day, Marcegaglia USA has been awarded for the best inline booth of the exhibition

Counting on a well consolidated presence on the North American market with its stainless steel production, Marcegaglia USA (based in Munhall, PA) will present its new range of galvanized tubing for fence frameworks and structural applications (according to ASTM F1043 and ASTM A513 specification) at the FenceTech 2013 in Houston.
The product is based on pre-galvanized hot-dip coated tubing (2.10 oz/square ft coating both ID and OD) which then goes through a zinc re-metalization for increased weld protection.
The manufacturing process is completed by a last fabrication step performed in the “green technology” clear coating unit, that represents the added value of Marcegaglia galvanized tubing: over 0.8 mm of added protection for high-performance and increased corrosion resistance for all fencing applications.
FenceTech 2013 brings together the fence, deck, railing and security industry's leading manufacturers, distributors, contractors and specifiers under one roof.
The show will be held in Houston (Texsas) from February 27th to March 1st, 2013 at the G.R. Brown Convention Centre.

Se sei un'impresa familiare, anche di grandi o grandissime dimensioni,
il processo di internazionalizzazione ha anche alcune peculiarità,
e anche qualche difficoltà in più.
 Lo conferma Antonio Marcegaglia, amministratore delegato del gruppo Marcegaglia, laureato in Economia aziendale in Bocconi nel 1987: "Una public company
o una multinazionale ha processi più strutturati, una maggiore propensione
a pianificare. L'azienda familiare invece tende a gettare il cuore oltre l'ostacolo,
a pianificare meno anche se dovrebbe farlo.
La nostra esperienza tuttavia è stata molto positiva, perchè siamo stati capaci di portare all'estero, in Cina come in Brasile
o in Russia, non solo la migliore tecnologia, ma anche la cultura aziendale, frutto
nel nostro caso della presenza costante
della famiglia. Abbiamo cercato cioè
di replicare le esperienze positive fatte in Italia".
Marcegaglia è un colosso con oltre 7 mila dipendenti e grandi risorse economiche, ma anche aziende di minori dimensioni possono, secondo Antonio Marcegaglia, internazionalizzare con successo: "Noi abbiamo subito puntato su progetti di ampio respiro e che comportavano grossi investimenti. Aziende più piccole, con risorse inferiori, devono fare progetti medi, rapportati alle proprie possibilità, perchè il successo
è principalmente una questione di cultura aziendale, mentalità e capacità di trovare le giuste misure".

per consentire l'eventuale ri-montaggio della struttura".

Marcegaglia, Phillips enter US auto marketing agreement
Stainless and Specialty tubing producer Marcegaglia USA or Munhall, Pennsylvania, is partnering with service center Phillips Metals Inc (PMI) to market its products to the automotive market.

Munich, Germany - While the German exhibition dedicated to building and construction sectors is drawing to a close, Marcegaglia reviews its presence at the exhibition.
